After a winter filled with snowstorm after snowstorm, and phrases like “polar vortex,” we are all set to welcome spring here in my house. I’m sure that you are, too. My son is excited to get on his bike, and my two kids are looking forward to more air and sunshine and sports that do not require a hat, scarf, or gloves. Is it unfair to blame them? I sure can’t.
While you, your loved ones, and friends gear up for longer daylight hours, more pleasant temperatures, and less equipment, look at these exciting things to play with your children this spring. They will not only keep your children entertained and entertained, but they’ll help reduce stress levels and keep you smiling.
Create a small garden
This is simple and easy to learn, as well as proving to be instructive. You can find all the materials at your local garden center or even on the internet. It is a wonderful opportunity to plant flowers with your children and observe the flowers develop. You can also plant herbs to use for cooking later during the season.
Go to the Zoo.

This is an ideal time to visit the zoo along with your kids. It’s pleasant outside, but it’s not overly warm, which means you don’t need to endure the heat and cranky children or be there before the break of dawn.
Create your masterpieces by using sidewalk chalk.
Sidewalk chalk has been deemed to be one of the most cost-effective ways to play with your hands and enjoy with your children, and springtime is the perfect sketching weather. I’ve never known a child who didn’t love sidewalk chalk.
Kite-fly.
Pick a windy day and take it. Kite-flying isn’t something children are often allowed to participate in when they’re in the middle of a spring day that is windy, so you must get a kite out and have a blast with it.
Dancing in the rain.

As a Black woman, I’ll admit that getting soaked in the rain hasn’t always been my top priority because achieving my hair’s perfect shape is a long process. However, kids love the rain. So this spring, why not play around and have some fun with your children during the storm? This is exactly what I intend to do, and I’m certain that my children will have a blast.
Visit a farmers’ market in your area.
Farmer’s markets typically provide a variety of goods and are an enjoyable opportunity to teach your children about the different types of food. It’s a great family excursion.
Enjoy a meal outside with your family. In summer, eating outside is great; however, when you have children, it has to be an early meal before the sun begins shining. In spring, you can arrange an enjoyable lunchtime excursion with your children that incorporates their favourite foods. If it’s in a park or your backyard, dining outside is a must.
Create cupcakes in a flowerpot.
Get a few tiny flowerpots, place them inside cupcakes, then add chocolate icing and top with edible floral arrangements. Your kids will enjoy creating these cute sweets.
Create a bird feeder.

My son is currently obsessed with birds. Bird feeders are an excellent method to let interesting birdlife visit your house, and you will be able to observe them in person and find out more about them.
Paint an object and use it to encourage.
Find a big rock, and then paint it as an entire family. After that, you can transform it into something you and your family members use to boost their morale. Write your family’s name or the phrase “You Rock” on it every time anyone in your family accomplishes something amazing, and then they receive the rock for one week. Then, during the week, they will add something different to the rock and then transfer it to a different family member.
Create an area for a butterfly garden.
A butterfly garden lets kids watch the transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly from a close distance. Once they’ve got adult butterflies released, they observe them flying off. Very cool.
